Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, drive north to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping and route at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Continue to the park, arriving in the evening.
DAY 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Nile
Start with an early morning game drive to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, followed by an optional hike to the top of the falls for spectacular views.
DAY 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, passing tea plantations and rolling hills. This park is known as the “Primate Capital of the World.”
DAY 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking. Spend time observing these playful primates in their natural environment.
In the afternoon, take a community walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich birdlife and cultural encounters.
DAY 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes.
In the evening, enjoy a sunset game drive in the Kasenyi plains.
DAY 7: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
Start the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for hippos, crocodiles, and countless bird species.
DAY 8: Transfer to Ishasha Sector (Tree-Climbing Lions)
Drive to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to the rare tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a guided game drive and spot elephants, topis, and buffaloes.
DAY 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive through Ishasha and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.
DAY 10: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
Begin your day with a briefing before setting off for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure. Spend an unforgettable hour observing a habituated gorilla family.
In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience of Uganda’s oldest forest people.
DAY 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a breathtaking lake dotted with 29 islands. Enjoy canoeing, swimming, or relaxing with views of the terraced hills.
