Day-by-Day Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional guide from Rain Tour Adventures. After a short safari briefing, transfer to your hotel in Entebbe to relax after your flight.

DAY 2: Entebbe – Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park. Drive through beautiful countryside featuring tea plantations, rolling hills, traditional villages, and the lush landscapes of western Uganda.
Arrive in Fort Portal in time for lunch before continuing to Kibale.

DAY 3: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, report to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing before beginning your unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees.
After lunch, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains and crater lakes along the way.

DAY 4: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Begin the day with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas and many bird species.
After lunch, enjoy the famous afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and numerous water birds can be seen at close range.

DAY 5: Queen Elizabeth – Ishasha Sector – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, travel through the Ishasha Sector, famous for its unique tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive as you search for these remarkable predators resting in giant fig trees.
Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening.

DAY 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience

After an early breakfast, report to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trekking adventure.
The trek may last between 2 and 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once located, enjoy one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for relaxation.

DAY 7: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park and home to zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes and many bird species.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive or optional boat cruise on Lake Mburo.

DAY 8: Lake Mburo – Equator – Entebbe Departure

Day 8: Lake Mburo – Equator – Entebbe Departure

Enjoy an optional early morning nature walk or game drive before breakfast.
Drive back to Entebbe with a stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs, souvenir shopping and lunch.
Continue to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of an unforgettable Ugandan primate safari.
