Day-by-Day Itinerary

DAY 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early breakfast at De Rain Eco Beach Resort Entebbe, embark on a scenic drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhinos roam freely in the wild. Enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience and learn about ongoing conservation efforts.
Continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park, famous for the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Upon arrival, visit the top of the falls to witness the Nile River dramatically forcing its way through a narrow gorge, creating a thunderous roar and misty spectacle.

DAY 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Nile

Rise early for a morning game drive across the savannah plains of Murchison Falls. Look out for elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and various antelope species.
After lunch, enjoy an unforgettable boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of the falls. You’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds along the riverbanks. For the adventurous, an optional hike to the top of the falls is available for spectacular photo moments.

DAY 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park &Bigodi Community Visit

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive southwards through beautiful countryside and tea plantations to Kibale National Park, renowned for its 13 primate species. Upon arrival, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run initiative known for its rich birdlife and cultural experiences with the local people.

DAY 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a chimpanzee trekking adventure. Follow expert guides through the forest as you track these lively primates, observing their playful and intelligent behavior up close.
After lunch, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse wildlife reserve, famous for its scenic crater lakes and abundant game.

DAY 5: : Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you’ll spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and Uganda kobs.
After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lakes Edward and George. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and numerous bird species along the banks.

DAY 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, drive south through the scenic Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a brief game drive before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

DAY 7: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

This is the highlight of your safari! After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the dense forest with your guides to find a habituated gorilla family and spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat.
Later, visit the Batwa community, where you’ll learn about their ancient forest lifestyle, traditions, and music.

DAY 8: Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, begin your journey back to De Rain Eco Beach Resort Entebbe with a stop at the Equator line for photos and souvenir shopping. Arrive in the evening and transfer to De Rain Eco Beach Resort or Entebbe Airport for your onward flight.
